Pashah is one of the new entrants to Koregaon Park and one of the very few kebab places in the area. Nestled in the quaint lanes of South Main Road, Pashah has a modern bistro theme.

The Ambiance

We were recently invited for a tasting and here’s a brief summary of my experience here.

Garlic Hummus & Pita Bread

Falafels

The Garlic Hummus and Pita Bread were pretty good. Hummus drenched in olive oil and soft pita breads, what more could you ask for? The Falafels were amongst the better ones I’ve had in town. They have a nice crispy texture.

Chicken Shawarma

The Chicken Shawarma is traditional recipe. There are no special touches to it and that’s the way I like my shawarma. Pashah does have happy hours on shawarmas, cool na?

Murgh Kali Mirch

Murgh Nizami Tikka

The Murgh Kali Mirch and the Murgh Nizami Tikka were well cooked kebabs. The MKM had the subtle taste of flavours but I thought the black pepper was a bit over powering. The MNT did have some bold and fiery flavours.

Murgh Makrana Kebab

The Murgh Makrana Kebab again stole the show as they do at all kebab places. Super succulent chicken falling off the bone made me wipe the bone clean.

IMG_1802
Mutton Seekh Kebab

The Mutton Seekh Kebab were again one of the better ones in town. Most places tend to over season their seekhs but Pashah does them really well and they also melt in your mouth.

Mutton Rogan Josh
IMG_1807
Nalli Nihari

The Mutton Rogan Josh & Nalli Nihari were a carnivorous delight as soon as we saw them. However the gravies played spoilsport here.

IMG_1809
Murgh Lahori

The Murgh Lahori had a thick tomato and onion gravy with well cooked chicken.

IMG_1811
Dal Makhani

The Dal Makhani didn’t have that rich and creamy texture and was a bit too salty for my liking.

Chicken Dum Biryani

The Chicken Dum Biryani was good. Nicely balanced proportions of rice with subtle flavours that won’t burn your tastebuds.

I couldn’t taste the desserts but I did have the Irani Chai which was good.

A big shout out to Sasha from Pomelo Social for inviting us & Murtaza and Team Pashah for hosting us.
