We recently happened to visit Tales & Spirits during the ongoing Martini fest. Tales & Spirits is located in the quaint by-lanes of SB Road near JW Marriott. It has a very lively and bright ambiance and is spread across the indoor and alfresco area.
Here’s a brief summary of the food we had at the event.
The Thai Jungle Curry was a traditional green Thai curry with rice and veggies. Dominating flavors of various Thai ingredients like galangal, kaffir lime and lemongrass made my taste buds tickle.
The Malai Paneer Balchao had a goan vegetarian pickle based curry with soft chunks of paneer. It was served with super soft buttered burger buns. The gravy was subtly sweet and the use of buns was a nice little fusion twist to the dish.
The Citrus & Berry Parfait is one of the theatric desserts available at T&S. A dome of tempered white chocolate holds the chocolate berry parfait underneath. The dome is flambéed. The parfait tastes pretty good.
The Baklava with Butterscotch is another one of T&S favorites. It has a nice flaky pastry with decent amount of fillings, a scoop of butterscotch and some spun sugar. It’s a must try when at T&S.
Being a teetotaler, I wasn’t able to try the martinis but my fellow bloggers did enjoy all of them. You can read Fat Foodie’s blog to know more about them. There is a BOGO offer on the martinis throughout October so rush and grab your martini soon.
