Mojo Pizza, a delivery-only pizza chain has moved into the pizza delivery market with a bang. Their idea behind this is to cater to the audience who after seeing a pizza say, “Where the hell are the toppings?” They offer only a medium 10” pizza which has a thick crust and is topped off with tomato sauce and a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
Mr Danish from Team Mojo Pizza asked me to sample their pizzas and I was more than happy to do so. He sent over two of their vegetarian pizzas.
The “Some Like It Hot” had red paprika, spicy jalapenos, golden corn, capsicum and tomato. It was indeed a hot affair with the spiciness and sourness from the paprika and jalapenos.
The Crowded House had extra cheese, paneer cubes, spicy jalapenos, black olives, golden corn, capsicum and onions. The extra cheese was in between the crust which is similar to the cheese burst pizzas you get.
The base was thick and evenly cooked. The tomato sauce blended in really well with the cheese. The pizza was loaded with sufficient toppings. A single pizza was filling enough to feed two people easily and is perfect for office lunches or parties.
As far as the logistics are concerned, the pizza was delivered bang on time. As pointed out by my fellow blogger Aprajit, the pizzas are lukewarm by the time they reach your doorstep. Mojo would do wonders if somehow they can overcome this issue.
Although the pizza was a bit Indianised and commercial, I did seem to enjoy it. But my favourite always remains the Italian pizza.
