It was the season of the king of fruits. Mango based dishes were flying off the kitchen counter. And that is when we got an invitation from Mr. Sujit Varpe, owner of The Waffles Hut, Amanora Town Center, Hadapsar for trying out the spectacular mango waffles to which we said yes without having to think twice.
The Waffles Hut is situated in the ground floor of the west block of the Amanora Mall. It has an indoor seating with around 6-8 tables and there are a couple of tables outdoors. Fragrant smell of freshly cooked waffles indulges your senses if you are seated inside.
So we started off with the Belgian Chocolate Spread Waffles. It was a half & half combination of Belgian Chocolate with Vanilla ice cream and just Belgian Chocolate. I preferred the one with Belgian chocolate and Vanilla ice cream because it had more balanced elements. But the Belgian Chocolate put together with the waffles was to die for! I polished off every last drop of the chocolate.
Next came the dish we had all been waiting for and something that got our hearts pounding as soon as we saw it coming our way. The Mango Waffles, a seasonal dish, won our hearts over. With whipped cream and mango slices, we enjoyed the melody that happened in our mouth with each bite. The creamy texture and the richness of the mangoes was absolutely delightful.
We were served another half & half combination of the Oreo Treat Waffle and the Banana Caramel Waffle. The Oreo Treat Waffle came with whipped cream and crumbles of Oreo while the Banana Caramel Waffle had banana slices with a caramel poured all over them. I thought both of them were amazing. The banana slices were cold and went extremely well with the sticky caramel sauce.
We were also served a trio of pancakes with three different toppings – mango slices, chocolate spread and cinnamon dust. The pancakes were fluffy and light while only the chocolate spread topping stood out as the best for me.
We also had a Cold Coffee which was pretty decent and surprisingly, the consistency was according to my liking. Mr. Sujit also served us some fries and chilli garlic potato bites so that we didn’t have an overload of sweetness.
It was a wonderful experience and one of our shortest food tastings because we polished off all dishes within a matter of a few minutes. A big shout out to Mr. Sujit for inviting and hosting us.
Outlets of The Waffles Hut are situated at Amanora Mall, Hadapsar; Seasons Mall, Magarpatta; Phoenix Marketcity, Viman Nagar; Xion Mall, Hinjewadi; Westend Mall, Aundh and at Lavasa.
